Liturgy
Made in the image
Of a God who sees space
Possibility
potential
And creates.
The work and spirit of God
Sets the eyes to chaos
And creates.
Now, we embody the welcome.
We create table space.
We pull up more chairs.
We are imbued with the spirit
The power
And the calling
To create spaces of welcome
Of home
Of hospitality
To create spaces where justice
And humanity
Come together
At the table is such a space
Where one can be seen
Heard
Fed
Welcomed
Humanity gathers here.
Hunger gathers here.
Voices gather here.
We are created
And asked to be creators
May we move from this table
Empowered
Equipped
And attentive
Ever present to creating space
at the table
In our lives
In our stories
For God will show up
And take a seat
Introducing us through the story of another
To yet another masterful creation
May our tables always be a space of
creation,
rebellion, and
Witness to the sacredness within each of us.
