Run!
We escape the crowd
Committed to solo time
For a ritual long planned
And held sacred
We scamper
Nearly adrift
The wind carries our lighthearted
souls and soles
Over the rocks
And alongside
This ultima sol.
Arrival
A landing
The clouds break
Blue sky
Sneaking through the gray
A whisper
Of worthwhileness
Worthiness;
winter’s death eventually breaks way.
Wind blown and weary
Joyful
attacks our faces
With glee,
And free(dom)
We are learning to claim
And see,
And proclaim.
Survival.
Arrival.
Thrival.
Community and the tribal
lets trust break through
To be seen
Known
And shown
The way.
Long roads
much digging
Internal spaces
Softness uncovered
New darkness met
Mirrored in unfamiliar faces
Unwanted other-ness
And yet
We’ve all arrived here.
Together
Held and stitched and melded
In harmony with dissonance
Resonance
Turbulence
And brilliance.
Carrying ourselves
And shells
Companioned by past and future
Making our way more deeply into the present.
A necklace
Earrings,
Long carried,
adorns,
Reminds,
Testifies to the unwind of
what’s been
Long buried.
Less adrift
This gift
This moment
All that we’ve sift(ed)
Instead of running
Away
We bound towards
Forwards
Headlong into glee, and the sea.
Ready to break
With the waves
Into all that is free
And beckons
Within us.
Transformation
Our destination
Reunification
With our truest selves.
Silence
And listen
Witness the sun
along the water glisten
Weary and
Worthy
Warrior and
Earthy
Rooted
And radiant
We bleed and rebirth
Unearth
Our great wildness
Release our wise childness
Receive our deep gifting
For us and for me
Spirit precedes us
Receives us
We walked long and hard
To achieve: us.
